Signs and symptoms of MIBC
MIBC is predominantly associated with the presence of blood in the urine and changes in urinary habits
The most common symptom of MIBC is haematuria. This can be detected as a visible change in the colour of urine or through urinalysis. Additionally, blood may or may not be continually present.1–4
Changes in urinary habits can also indicate MIBC and can include a change in urinary frequency or urgency. Irritation or pain while urinating can also be a symptom of MIBC.1–4
Many of the symptoms associated with MIBC can overlap with other, benign conditions but all patients with persistent symptoms should be evaluated for MIBC.1–4
